How to roll dice online

Choose the right die: D4 to D100

The number after D is the number of faces. A D6 returns 1–6, while a D20 returns 1–20.

How FunRandomizer keeps dice rolls fair and local

A dice roller should make every face equally likely and make the result easy to check. FunRandomizer separates the random result from the visual animation, then shows every die beside the total.

In modern browsers, each roll uses crypto.getRandomValues with rejection sampling to avoid modulo bias. If Web Crypto is unavailable, the tool falls back to the browser’s standard random generator. Roll history stays in the current session, while saved setups remain in this browser.

Is this online dice roller free?

Yes. You can roll dice, mix die types, add modifiers, lock results, review history, and save setups without creating an account or paying.

Which virtual dice can I roll?

You can roll D4, D6, D8, D10, D12, D20, and D100 dice. Add up to 12 of each type and combine different types in the same roll.

Can I roll two dice at once?

Yes. Select the 2D6 preset for two standard six-sided dice, or add a second die of any supported type. Each result and the combined total are shown.

Can I roll different types of dice together?

Yes. Build a mixed dice pool such as 2d6 + 1d8, then add one modifier if needed. FunRandomizer shows the notation, every die, and the final total.

Can I add a bonus or penalty to a dice roll?

Yes. Set a whole-number modifier from −99 to +99. It changes the combined total without changing the individual dice results.

Can I roll a D20 for D&D?

Yes. Use the 1D20 preset for a check, attack, save, or initiative roll. For advantage or disadvantage, add two D20s and use the higher or lower result manually.

Can I lock one die and reroll the others?

Yes. After a roll, select the lock on any result you want to keep, then choose Reroll unlocked dice. Locked results stay unchanged.

Are the dice rolls random and fair?

In modern browsers, FunRandomizer uses Web Crypto and rejection sampling so every face has an equal chance without modulo bias. Older browsers fall back to the standard browser random generator.

Where are my roll history and saved setups stored?

Roll history stays in the current session. Saved setups are stored locally in this browser, and this tool does not upload your dice combinations.

Do I need to download a dice rolling app?

No. The dice roller works directly in modern desktop and mobile browsers, with no app download or account required.
