How Does FunRandomizer Choose a Random Name?

FunRandomizer uses the cryptographically secure random number generator built into your browser. Every eligible entry has the same chance of being selected, and the result is chosen independently of the wheel animation.

Ways to Use a Random Name Picker

Classroom name picker

Paste the students present today and turn on No repeats for a participation round. With 24 eligible names, each draw reduces the remaining pool by one until everyone has had a turn.

Arrange the whole class

Meeting and presentation order

Draw one speaker when you need only the next turn. If all 12 presenters need their numbered slots before the meeting begins, use the order generator instead of spinning 12 times.

Is this random name picker free?

Yes. You can add names, spin the wheel, use no-repeat mode, import lists, and review the current pick history without creating an account.

Can the same name be selected twice?

Yes in normal mode. Turn on No repeats when each eligible name should be selected only once during the current round.

Can I import names from Excel or Google Sheets?

Yes. Paste a spreadsheet column directly, upload a CSV or TSV file, or import a Google Sheet that is viewable by anyone with the link.

How many names can I add?

The picker can select from large lists, although wheel labels are shown only for the first 40 visible entries to keep the wheel readable. Every eligible entry remains part of the random selection.

FunRandomizer uses the cryptographically secure random number generator built into your browser. Every eligible entry has the same chance of being selected.

Are my names uploaded or stored online?

Names pasted into the picker and CSV files are processed in your browser. Your current list is saved locally. Google Sheets are read only when you provide a public sharing link.
