How do I use the Secret Santa generator?

Add at least three unique names, set any exclusions or previous matches, add optional exchange details, and select Draw Secret Santa names. Send each participant only the private reveal link beside their name.

Does anyone need to enter an email address?

No. FunRandomizer does not ask for email addresses or accounts. The organizer sends each private reveal link through an existing text, group chat or collaboration tool.

Is this Secret Santa generator free?

Yes. The name draw, exclusions, previous-match rules, private reveal links and printable folded cards are available without payment or sign-up.

How many people are needed for Secret Santa?

You need at least three different participants. Larger groups work too, provided the exclusions still leave at least one valid assignment for everyone.

Can couples be prevented from drawing each other?

Yes. Add a keep-apart rule for the couple. FunRandomizer applies that rule in both directions, so neither person can draw the other.

Can I avoid last year’s Secret Santa matches?

Yes. Open Avoid last year’s matches and enter one previous assignment per line in Giver > Recipient format. Those one-way matches are blocked in the new draw.

What happens if the exclusion rules are impossible?

FunRandomizer stops without creating a partial draw and asks you to remove a conflicting exclusion or previous match. No participant receives an incomplete assignment.

Can the organizer see everyone’s matches?

Recipient names stay hidden in the normal organizer delivery list. The organizer can choose to print folded cards, which necessarily places each pairing in the printable document.

What if someone loses their private reveal link?

Reopen the organizer URL in the same browser and copy that person’s link again. The organizer record is stored only in that browser, so clearing its site data removes the saved record.

Are Secret Santa names uploaded or stored online?

The generator creates the draw in your browser and saves the organizer record in that browser’s local storage. Each reveal link contains only that participant’s assignment; anyone who receives the link can open it.

Do participants need to download a Secret Santa app?

No. The generator and reveal pages work in a modern web browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
