How do I randomly pair a list of names?
Paste one name per line, choose how to handle an odd number of people, and select Generate pairs.
Can the generator avoid previous pairs?
Yes. Keep Avoid previous pairs enabled and FunRandomizer will use the current session history when creating the next round.
What happens when there is an odd number of people?
You can create one trio, assign one bye, or allow one rotating participant to appear in two pairs.
Are repeated pairs always avoidable?
Not always. After enough rounds every possible combination may have been used, and FunRandomizer reports when a repeat cannot be avoided.
How is a pair generator different from a team generator?
A pair generator creates one-to-one partners and tracks repeat pairings across rounds. A team generator creates larger sides for sports, games, or competitions.
